We are seeking a Scientist with a strong cancer cell biology background and experience in cancer related drug discovery. The successful candidate will become an integral member of an oncology bioscience team focused on the discovery and delivery of novel anti-cancer therapies
Qualifications
PhD and +5 years of relevant experience, preferably in an industry setting.
Independently define and deliver high quality, validated cell assays suitable for supporting compound screening and selection.
Develop specialized assay conditions that support project driven questions.
Deliver in vitro data to support in vivo requirements of extent and duration of target modulation required for phenotypic response.
Analyze, summarize and interpret data and provide written and verbal updates to teams in timely manner.
Experience in developing and characterizing mouse models of cancer is desired.
Previous experience and strong working knowledge of in vivo pharmacology techniques desired.
Competencies/Behaviors
Demonstrated expertise in oncology cell assay development and screening in technical areas including, but not limited to, high content biology, reporter, ELISA, western blotting, proliferation, apoptosis and 3D assays
Experience with successfully generating stable cell lines, deriving clones and characterizing for functional expression
Familiarity with independently designing, executing and analyzing in vitro combination experiments
Excellent problem solving skills
Proficient in data analysis and tools
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
