Senior Counsel - Trademarks
The candidate will help manage the Legal Department's worldwide trademarks program for company's brands. Will be responsible for the direct acquisition, prosecution and enforcement actions to protect company's trademarks and copyrights. Have primary responsibility for directing the searching, clearance, filing and renewing the company's trademarks and copyrights worldwide. Ensure appropriate trademark registrations are acquired worldwide to support the business activities of coalitions. Investigate, select and manage domestic and foreign counsel, including instructing counsel on prosecution, maintenance, investigation and enforcement, and other instructions as necessary. Oversee activities of paralegals in support of trademark clearance, acquisition, prosecution and enforcement. Oversee preparation of USPTO and foreign filings and signatory for same. Evaluate and manage Trademark oppositions and cancellations, manage outside counsel as necessary. Oversee preparation of TTAB and foreign filings and signatory for same. Perform legal research on various issues of US and international trademark and copyright law. Manage the preparation and routing of reports and summaries of trademark rights to persons within the company. Establish and monitor budget for all trademark invoices for legal services. Monitor USPTO gazette and international watch notices for possible infringement of trademark rights. Develop and deliver training sessions as needed for persons within the Company regarding Trademarks and their proper use. General contract drafting and negotiations.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
