The Delaware & Southern New Jersey Healthcare System is currently recruiting for a full-time Dental Assistant not to exceed one (1) year. This position is located at the VA Medical Center Wilmington, Delaware in the Dental Clinic, Surgical Service Department. Tour of Duty will be 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Delaware has no sales tax. Wilmington offers easy access to I-95 and cultural and recreational opportunities in Philadelphia, New York & Washington, DC. Major league sports abound in Philadelphia, sailing on the Chesapeake Bay and swimming at the Delaware Atlantic coast beaches are popular summer activities. Wintertime is ski time in the nearby Pocono Mountains. Wilmington is served by major air routes thru Philadelphia and Baltimore and major rail route thru Amtrak and metro liner services.
NOTE: The Professional Standards Board (a peer-review group) will review the selected candidate s education and experience and recommend the step at which the candidate will be placed in that specific grade. The salary is based on the grade and step approved for the selected candidate.
NOTE : The full performance level of this vacancy is GS-06 . The actual grade at which an applicant may be selected for this vacancy is GS-06 through GS-07 . The Professional Standards Board (a peer-review group) will review the selected candidate''s qualifications and recommend the grade and step at which the candidate will be placed. The salary is based on the grade and step approved for the selected candidate.
