Sourcing and Logistics Sr Consultant

Responsible for developing, implementing, and leveraging global logistics strategies within the business. Includes being responsible for the planning and accountable for the execution of all tactical level processes required to secure and manage logistics resources within the assigned scope or supply chains. It also includes the development of a DIBM integrated logistics outlook in support of the supply chain master plan. This position is responsible for managing logistics data, assets, processes and provider performance within the assigned scope. It also provides operational logistics guidance inter-regionally for Supply Chain, business, and plant site personnel. The goal is to provide safe and efficient storage and movement of products in a way that meets business needs while maximizing the financial benefit to the business and parent company.
Facilitate developing and executing logistics strategy that delivers competitive advantage for the business/SC and DuPont.
Facilitate developing logistics solutions to meet business need, including but not limited to:
Support top line growth and variable margin improvement initiatives.
Support customer service improvements and facilitate work to identify root cause and corrective actions for complaints and service failures.
Lead and drive cost reduction initiatives
Ensure supply chain initiatives & CTQ's are translated into Logistics' project priorities.
Bring logistics expertise to strategic supply chain decisions and enable proper connects to logistics core strategies, inventory management and the DIBM Managing process.
Provide logistics support to enable leveraged logistics solutions (the buy, leveraged operations, forwarding, TONA, Import/Export, inbound freight management).
Identifies options and creative solutions to optimize physical distribution (including warehousing) and logistics costs across and within supply chains
Develops, maintains and integrates logistics best practices and improvement opportunities.
Provide logistics support to enable leveraged logistics solutions (the buy, leveraged operations, forwarding, TONA, Import/Export inbound freight management).
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or International and/or 5+years of experience in logistics required
Demonstrated competency in driving execution, building winning global teams, championing change, customer orientation and building competitive advantage
Understanding of technologies applicable to logistics and supply chain optimization
Strong knowledge and capability in logistics and supply chain (domestic & international)
