Vice President, Originations Verification Strategy Lead

The Ink Originations Verification Strategy Lead develops the Small Business Card Client-specific strategy to refine what information we need from clients to verify them and their businesses, how that process should look, and what technology changes are needed to make it happen.
This role will be responsible for improving the verification process for our credit card clients within Chase's Small to Medium Business portfolio.
This individual will partner across organizations and critical functions to understand firm and regulatory requirements, strategize on process and technology improvements, and own initiative requirements for critical projects.
These efforts will be aimed at removing friction in the experience, upleveling our ability to know our clients, and improving our processes and systems.
Specific measures of success include the ability to innovate, to build strong relationships with internal and external partners, influence across organizations, and increase new account originations profitably.
The team seeks a strategist that can effectively understand the what and why within the Fraud and Verification steps of the business credit approval process so that Chase Small Business Card can effectively partner with our upstream and downstream organizations to streamline the credit application process.
A self-motivated person who has the combination of strategy, credit-industry, and modern technology platform knowledge along with the EQ and referential leadership skills to effectively drive results.
The individual must demonstrate the ability to deliver innovative strategies across various business functional areas and effectively communicate both internally and externally.
This individual will work within the Small Business Credit Card team and develop strategies in partnership across organizations and functions.
Job Responsibilities Develop a roadmap of business card initiatives that improve our verification and review processes; speeding new account generation and market-share growth for the business card portfolio Prioritize opportunities and leverage processes and technology applications to improve our small business credit card verification and review processes Collaborate across the team and organizations to share insights and ensure all stakeholder needs are met within Fraud and Verifications while enhancing the speed of credit approvals Effectively partner with internal stakeholders across the organization to drive strategy, develop operational efficiencies, ensure flawless execution, and deliver business results Work closely with Lending, Technology, Risk Governance, Legal and Compliance to ensure roadmap priorities follow all regulatory requirements Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills 7
years of financial project or strategy management, technology experience is required, credit card specific industry experience is preferred Experience within the financial AML/KYC regulatory realms and credit card approval process Demonstrated cross-functional leadership, collaboration, and creative problem-solving skills Results focused self-starter effective at prioritizing and managing multiple initiatives concurrently Strong interpersonal effectiveness with ability to collaborate and work well with all levels of leadership and across organizational boundaries Strong skillset within complex corporate technology platforms and systems Exceptional presentation skills to multiple levels of leadership Proven ability to consistently deliver meaningful results Bachelor's degree required Recommended Skills Communication Creative Problem Solving Finance Leadership Presentations Regulatory Compliance Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
