Social Worker I (Child Welfare)

Job Type Full-time Description The Family Assessment Intervention and Response Program involves community-based case work with families referred by child welfare to assess for safety and provide resources to children and their families.
Investigate all allegations of child abuse, dependency, and neglect.
Monitor and assess the safety and wellbeing of all the children in the home.
Refer family to community-based services if warranted.
Adhere to fidelity of program model, principles and practices.
Maintain an assigned caseload.
Maintain timely documentation in agency database system (i.
e.
assessments, service plans, safety plans, case notes, discharge plans) and other required records in accordance with agency, state accreditation, and other requirements, policies, and procedures.
Travel primarily within the county/counties assigned, but some statewide travel is required as needed.
Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field, required.
Experience in child welfare, preferred.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, required.
Must have strong written and oral communication skills and a strong working knowledge of computers and applications.
Ability to respond appropriately to the cultural differences present among the agency's service population.
Previous job or student placement experience in child welfare, family serving agency, or community based agency, preferred.
Must have valid driver's license, which meets the requirements of the agency's insurance carrier and reliable transportation Recommended Skills Assessments Communication Social Work Criminal Justice Transportation Management Child Protection Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
