Position Overview:

This critical role will involve ensuring compliance with environmental regulations through meticulous record-keeping, coordination, and reporting. The Hazardous Waste Coordinator will be a key player in supporting the company s commitment to workplace safety and environmental responsibility from an administrative perspective.

Key
Responsibilities:


  • Oversee and manage the administrative aspects of hazardous waste disposal programs as the Hazardous Waste Coordinator, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of hazardous waste handling, storage, and disposal activities, showcasing the Hazardous Waste Coordinator's attention to detail.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, external disposal facilities, and regulatory agencies to ensure smooth operation of hazardous waste programs, emphasizing the organizational skills of the Hazardous Waste Coordinator.
  • Develop and implement administrative procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance within the hazardous waste management process, reflecting the proactive approach of the Hazardous Waste Coordinator.
  • Prepare and submit timely reports on hazardous waste activities to regulatory bodies, demonstrating the Hazardous Waste Coordinator's commitment to compliance and transparency.
  • Manage permits and documentation related to hazardous waste operations, a key responsibility of the Hazardous Waste Coordinator.
  • Serve as a point of contact for inquiries regarding hazardous waste management policies and procedures, underlining the communicative role of the Hazardous Waste Coordinator.
  • Assist in auditing and compliance checks, ensuring that all administrative aspects meet the high standards expected of a Hazardous Waste Coordinator.


Qualifications:


  • Proven administrative experience, preferably within hazardous waste management or a related environmental services field.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and compliance requirements related to hazardous waste.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, critical for the Hazardous Waste Coordinator role.
  • Proficiency in database management and reporting software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Bachelor s degree in Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in hazardous materials management or environmental compliance would be advantageous.
