Primary
Responsibilities:
Develop high-quality software design and architecture.
Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks in the software development life cycle.
Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code.
Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting.
Review and debug codePerform validation and verification testing.
Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products.
Document development phases and monitor systems.
Ensure software is up to date with latest technologies.
Understand and adhere to the Company s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with the Company s Risk Appetite.
Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
Complete other related duties or projects as required, which may include playing a lead role in due diligence, cost/benefit analysis or business study activities.

Education and Experience Required:
Minimum of an associate degree and 6 years systems analysis/application development experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 8 years higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 6 years systems analysis/application development experienceFamiliar with application development software and hardware platformsCapable of working on multiple projects of a complex natureExcellent problem-solving skills to assist in issue resolution.
