Release Manager Needed!

We have an immediate opportunity for a Release
manager
to work in the Wilmington, DE area, for a 6
month contract (average length of contract is 18 month).
This candidate will be responsible for promoting the highest level of quality in all technology releases by managing the end to end release process. The Release Manager must work effectively with Development, QA, Change and Configuration Management to coordinate, plan, and oversee the daily tasks essential for a successful deployment of release code into the production environment. This includes:
RELEASE PLANNING:
Validate that only approved features are contained within a release
Schedule and conduct status meetings
Obtain accurate status and identify risks on all features
Enforce Release Verification entrance and exit criteria
RELEASE DELIVERY:
Coordinate with the respective discipline owners to reduce the overall outage time in environments
Ensure that all code changes for the environments are properly coordinated, scheduled, approved and implemented via approved implementation plans
Engage project teams during the planning phase to scope out the best use of the testing environment
Gatekeeper for all release related build requests
RELEASE PROMOTION:
Identify, schedule and coordinate overall resource requirements associated with release implementation and installation
Create and maintain the integrity of all implementation plans
Ensure the thoroughness and accuracy of release related production implementation plans
Direct the overall release implementation
Oversee the resolution of all implementation related issues
Communicate release status at key checkpoints and escalate any customer facing issues
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Strong Release Management experience
- Agile experience desired
- Ability to manage in a fast paced environment
- Financial/Credit Card industry experience a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexible/Adaptable
LENGTH: 6 months +(average length of contract at this client is 18 months)
