Description:
Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility is to lead the implementation and operations and maintenance for MarkLogic databases and provide additional administrative support .
- Implement and maintain database security across the supported DB technologies as directed by the Senior DBA. Advise on security implementation for all MarkLogic configurations.
- Advise on the design approach of the XML-based, document-centric modelling in MarkLogic.
- Prepare database release scripts and implement database design changes.
- Write database procedures, functions and triggers, as necessary.
- Identify and proactively communicate future capacity needs.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree.
- At least 1
years' experience with MarkLogic or a NoSQL equivalent database.
- 3
years' experience with Oracle 11g, MySQL, and/or MS SQL.
- Any experience with non-relational database, NoSQL technology or equivalent (e.g., Oracle XDB, SQL Server 2012).
- Experience performing database tuning and performance monitoring in MarkLogic environments.
- Knowledge of MarkLogic backup and recovery scenarios.
- Proficient in PL/SQL.
- Experience with web development skills (xHTML, HTTP, cross-browser issues, CSS, JavaScript, and so on) in support of MarkLogic implementation and administration.
- Strong knowledge of XML and XQuery skills.
- Understanding of search engines and full-text queries.
- Java or .Net experience.
- Experience in code migration, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle.
- Ability to collaborate with members from a variety of support teams including the application, testing, configuration management, and system administration technical representatives.
- Understanding interrelationships and impacts of systems and applications upon the technical environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently on projects with minimal direction.
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective team player.
- Good verbal/written communication skills.
- Strong prioritization skills with a clear ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
- Must to have Java programming skills.
