Software Engineer
Our Banking client is looking for an experienced
Enterprise Architect
.
Skill sets required
o Work with the overall Enterprise Architecture team to define the future state architecture vision for the organization
o Provide application architecture oversight of key bank-wide projects - specifically for the launch of private label credit card and personal unsecured consumer loan products
o Ability to quickly conduct in-depth analysis of enterprise applications and application architecture including analysis of the business architecture, application interactions with data, and working with key business contacts
o Select & develop new architectural platforms to support credit, collections, acquisition marketing, and finance groups to support private label and consumer loan product capabilities
o Provide analysis on technology & business needs vs total cost of ownership on architectural decisions
o Develop a close working relationship with the various Business & Development teams for information sharing and cross-functional work
o Understand and formalize the business needs for new capabilities and to resolve ambiguous requirements.
o Maintenance of the overall current state and application inventory for the enterprise
o Selection of capabilities and systems to meet business information needs
o Performs other work related duties as assigned
o The incumbent is expected to interact with numerous internal customers (at all management levels) and external vendors to perform job responsibilities
o Ability to work with multiple cross functional agile teams
Requirements:
- Banking experience is preferred 95% of the time.
Require Education and
Experience:
o 10
years of full life-cycle and iterative development
o Prior experience in an architecture role in a large enterprise setting. Preferred experience in Business architecture and process mapping including capability mapping, workflow, and process mapping
o Experience with managing Agile development, scaled agile framework or scrum of scrums for architectural controls of many scrum teams across large programs
o Experience with credit card and loan service provider platforms from First Data Systems and TSYS
o Broad experiences across multiple platforms, operating systems, programming languages, databases, systems development and systems management methodologies and business relevant technologies.
o Strong experience in design of enterprise, high-volume, highly resilient, secure applications and systems
o Strong communication and presentation skills to all levels of management and stakeholders
o Experience with encapsulated middleware via Service Oriented Applications or ESB frameworks
o Experience with relational database technology: SQL, JDBC, Oracle
o Experience with NoSQL databases - Cloudera Hadoop, Cassandra, Couchbase, or Mongo DB preferred
o Experience in technologies and development
o Experience with Apache Tomcat products
o Experience or strong knowledge of cloud based deployment practices, PAAS, Infrastructure automation, Deployment Automation, Continuous Delivery and on-demand provisioning
o Familiarity with ETL processing and tools
o Familiarity with BI and analytic tools such as MicroStrategy and SAS
o Ability to challenge the status-quo and drive change
o Resolve and sense of urgency - self-starter
o Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
o Excellent organizational and planning skills
o Excellent interpersonal, verbal, leadership, organizational and planning skills
o Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision
o Experience in the banking/finance industry
