Please note: This position may be filled at the Analyst, Analyst Sr., or Manager level. Manager will determine level based upon the selected applicant's skillset relative to the qualifications listed for this position.
This position is responsible for managing the use of efficient and effective market research and may serve as a lead for the Market Research staff.
Primary duties to include, but are not limited to:
Researches trends and recommends strategic and tactical actions that further the development of profitable membership.
Incorporates business plans and strategies into research plans.
Integrates research management tools.
Builds and maintains relationships with key associates within the organization, vendors and peer groups.
Mentors and oversees work of market research analysts.
The key job function is to provide market research support and consulting to the business leaders who develop strategies to grow Anthem, Inc. individual/exchange business. All types of market research, including efforts to support marketing, messaging. product, retention, network strategies for the individual business unit across Anthem, Inc.'s 14 states. This includes creating and executing market research plans based on business issues. Also translating market research into insights and potential actions for business partners. This position works to develop an understanding of and represent the voice of consumers who purchase health care on their own or from the new insurance exchanges.
Marketing Research Manager
Requires a BA/BS degree; 5-8 years of experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. MA/MS/MBA preferred. Health insurance or managed care experience preferred. Insurance license may be required dependent on state.
Marketing Research Analyst Sr.
Requires a BA/BS degree in marketing or business; 3-5 years of experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Marketing Research Analyst
Requires a BA/BS degree in marketing or business; 2 years of experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Key competencies include experience with qualitative and quantitative research; the ability to translate market research into compelling business implications, a natural curiosity and desire to understand human behavior, good communication skills and project management skills.
This position can be located at any Anthem, Inc. office location. Preferred locations: New York, NY, Chicago, IL or Mason, OH.
