Local Coordinator for Exchange Students Part Time

Are you looking for a way to make a difference in 2015? Consider working with high school foreign exchange students with International Cultural Exchange Services (ICES)! This is a PART-TIME, work-from-home job with lots of flexibility.
High school youth exchange has a profound impact on teens, families, communities, and the world! A caring and supportive Local Coordinator is crucial to the program, as they recruit and screen volunteer host families and are the primary support to the exchange student during the program. Our LC's experience the excitement and deep satisfaction of knowing they played a major role in making this life-changing experience possible.
Admittedly, there are many organizations that work with exchange students. All programs fall under State Department regulations, so the basics of each program will be the same, and what matters are the things that set us apart. Here's what makes ICES special:
In a word--SUPPORT. We at ICES pride ourselves on providing outstanding support to our students and host families, and we go the extra mile to help everyone have a good experience. This support takes many forms from planned activities for students and host families, helpful handouts on topics like cultural differences and effective communication, and phone calls just to see how things are going.
In another word--PASSION. ICES staff are passionate about exchange. Many of our field staff have extensive cross-cultural experience. Some were exchange students themselves. This passion comes across in everything we do.
One more word--QUALITY. We emphasize quality throughout our program from our well-screened students to our well-trained coordinators. For over 20 years, ICES has been working to build a quality program.
Feeling skeptical? (After all, this is an ad.) We will gladly provide you with references if you like. Talk to a host family who has experienced our amazing support. Talk with another local coordinator and hear her passion. We are the real deal.
If you love teens and feel they deserve a supportive agency, a passionate coordinator, and a quality program, please consider joining our team. You can make a difference!
