Institutional Marketing Manager I

In this fast paced and dynamic marketing role, the person selected will be responsible for developing and executing our marketing and communications strategy for Wilmington Trust's global capital markets products and solutions. He or she will partner with the firm's corporate trust and agency business to develop strategic marketing programs while managing a diverse portfolio of projects. Supporting a growing institutional/corporate trust and agency business, building internal and external relationships, and working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment will be key drivers of success.
Essential Position Responsibilities
Create and manage centralized marketing goals to support business line and bank goals/objectives.
Consult with business line and marketing staff to identify business unit marketing, and communication campaign needs based upon business objectives.
Project management, prioritization and relationship management skills.
Develop, manage, evaluate and report on marketing campaign budgets.
Manage/negotiate conferences, events, and sponsorships and ensure alignment with business goals.
Manage all aspects of the development and execution of each marketing and communication campaign project from conceptualization through execution and implementation.
Analyze results of marketing campaigns and develop recommendations based on campaign results.
Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
Manage, improve, and maintain online content. Serve as owner of the products and solutions spaces within our websites and work with the content team to develop an effective strategy to drive growth objectives.
Nature and Scope
The position is responsible for providing business units with effective marketing and communication programs to enable corporate and institutional businesses to meet objectives and reinforcing the bank's brand identity.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or in lieu of a degree, 4 years of experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing marketing campaigns in a client or agency environment.
Experience managing an advertising and/or business line marketing relationship.
Proven track record managing multiple projects with minimal supervision.
Ability to multi-task and collaborate with diverse internal and external customer base.
Ideal Qualifications
Business to business or institutional marketing experience.
International business marketing experience.
Excellent PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs (excel, powerpoint, word).
Copy writing and editing proficiency.
Sound creative judgment with advertising/direct marketing production knowledge.
Media planning knowledge.
Excellent written, verbal and negotiation communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact professionally with all levels of management.
Working knowledge of applicable banking laws.
