Mobile Vehicle Mechanic

The Opportunity
Based in Bridgeport, NJ, our Mobile Vehicle Mechanic is responsible for travelling to various branch locations and performing routine maintenance, inspections and repairs on our fleet of company light duty trucks, heavy duty trucks and equipment.
Responsibilities:
Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies & processes and acting in a safe manner at all time;
Ensures that all equipment is properly secured prior to work/repairs, (i.e.: uses chock blocks and jack stands);
Corrects all equipment deficiencies and performs preventative maintenance tasks on company vehicles and equipment;
Performs thorough inspections of equipment and identifies and required repairs;
Performs routine and specific maintenance tasks;
Troubleshoots, diagnoses and repairs equipment, boats and light and heavy duty vehicles;
Disassembles, inspects and replaces worn or broken parts;
Fits and adjusts new or repaired parts;
Maintenance of all general repair equipment and shop tools;
Completes and submits all associated paperwork as required for tracking Preventative Maintenance schedules;
Fills out and submits all required documentation in an accurate and timely manner;
Coordinates parts for mobile repair unit;
Maintains a clean work environment while visiting various branch locations.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2-3-years light duty and heavy duty maintenance experience;
Previous electrical repair experience is preferred;
Welding and fabrication experience is an asset;
Ability to read and understand schematics;
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record;
Related mechanical certifications are a plus (i.e.: brake certification or FMCSA);
Must have own tools and strong computer skills.
