Physician - Pediatrics - ChristianaCare seeking a Medical Director for the Pediatric Care Center
ChristianaCare is looking to employ a Medical Director for the Pediatric Care Center - a Hybrid Pediatric EM and Observation Unit.
The successful candidate will be board certified and possess Pediatric Hospitalist experience with strong leadership skills and/or Pediatric Urgent Acute Care/EM experience.
This Medical Director will manage all clinical aspects of this 14-bed specialized unit housed in ChristianaCare's new Center for Women's and Children's Health.
All inpatient and hospital-based non-trauma emergency pediatric patient care will be delivered at this location.
Position Highlights:
Directs and manages the clinical operations for the Pediatric Care Center comprised of 14 beds - 7 acute beds for pediatric EM care and 7 inpatient observations beds.
Oversees, develops, and supports a team of 5 providers.
Successfully balances clinical and administrative responsibilities.
Leads the development and execution of strategic planning & process improvement initiatives established from the collection and interpretation of market data analysis.
Champions relationship building and cross collaboration with inpatient, outpatient, nursing, leadership, and other strategic partners.
Facilitates the success of the unit through supporting AOP goals and the implementation of quality control strategies.
Position
Qualifications:
BC in Pediatrics.
Several years of Pediatric Hospitalist and/or Pediatric Emergency Medicine experience.
Experience in a Pediatric Emergency Department or Urgent Care is preferred.
Leadership experience preferred.
