About This Listing Late 60's to ? Fender Allegro Tenor Banjo - 4 StringFrom an old listing I found on here, please do your own research, I am not a banjo expert:"Very Rare Fender Model Tenor Banjo, made by Harmony, c. 1967, made in Chicago. Bakelite rim and resonator, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard.This is a forgotten bit of Fender history, a Harmony Bakelite rim banjo built expressly for CBS, complete with the Fender logo engraved in the headstock. Some other unique features include Fender safti-slot tuning pegs (with the "F" logo) and bakelite molded plastic resonator. Not in the books but here it is, a ghost of the company's CBS era, when they tried to offer every instrument they could under the Fender brand."I took this apart and cleaned it up. The old head was ripped so I ordered a new head for it, but it was the wrong size and I never got around to putting it back together. All of the parts are there (see pics) including the armrest. Banjo ad Pictures not included - Just found some old ads online that showed this model from the era. Manufactured late 60's-Early 70's? 4 string Set of strings included - Will need reassembled - taken apart for cleaning. Did not reassemble because I didn't replace the head. All of the parts are there. In good condition, some oxidization on the metal from age. I cleaned all the metal to the best of my ability. Will need set up to your liking Needs a head. I bought one to put on it, but it was the wrong size, so I figured that someone that knew more about banjo's would have better luck with it. Comes with a soft shell case ( see pics) If you need anymore pics, message me. Typical dings, dents and wear that you would normally find on an older instruments.
